Frequently asked questions

Although we want to be as inclusive as possible and do not have age restrictions on who can wear our jewellery, we do require parental consent for anyone under the age of 14 and to ensure that the parent knows at what point the jewellery will need to be removed as the child grows out of it. For anyone under the age of 14 only bracelets, anklets, hand jewellery and foot jewellery can be made. We do not offer permanent body jewellery or necklaces for anyone under the age of 14.

We understand that not everyone will want or even be able to wear a piece of permanent jewellery depending upon your lifestyle and career. However, you may still want to enjoy the experience of having a piece of jewellery made for you and with your friends and loved ones. So, we can still offer you the same experience but we can incorporate a clasp for you so your jewellery can be removed as and when you need it to be.

The time it takes, depends on what you choose to have made. A bracelet appointment can be as short as a 5 minute appointment, whereas a piece of hand jewellery could take between 40-60 minutes. If you have any concerns about time please discuss this when making you’re booking.

One of the best ways to prolong the life of your gold filled jewellery is to make sure you avoid leaving topical substances such as salt from the sea and sweat, perfume, hair spray, hand and body lotion or cleaning products on your jewellery. This can be done by keeping your jewellery clean by rinsing with water and gently wiping your gold filled jewellery with a jewellery polishing cloth (which is provided in your aftercare kit), or a non scratch cloth now and again will help keep its shine. Please only brush your jewellery with the interdental brushes sparingly when product is stuck in the chain, as too much can encourage the metal to wear down.
Absolutely not, the laser welding happens on the metal only of your jewellery only. We use protection between the jewellery and on your skin when welding anyway to ensure there is absolutely no chance of anything happening.
